Meet Dr. Nadler

Dr. Richard M. Nadler had been practicing architecture for some ten years before he began his career in dentistry. He had always desired to help others while, at the same time, use his hands and artistic abilities to create works of beauty. With the encouragement of family members already in the profession, he made the decision to return to school to become a dentist. He graduated with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1983. In that year, he received the award for excellence in oral medicine and was elected to the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He established his private practice in Hillsborough, New Jersey, where he has been practicing since 1984.

Nothing gives Dr. Nadler more pleasure or satisfaction than revealing to his patients the new smiles which they have so long yearned for and worried about. The merging of artistry and science to create such smiles and the happiness and self-confidence that they bring makes Dr. Nadler very pleased that he made the decision and invested the time to become a dentist.

Dr. Nadler has pursued his special interest in prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry by continually seeking out and learning from the masters of modern dentistry. He completed the fourth level at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute in Florida where he learned advanced techniques in the treatment of jaw joint disorders as well as in reconstructive and esthetic dentistry.

Dr. Nadler is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has served as the secretary of the Central Dental Society, a local component of the ADA. In August of 2001, he was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He was also invited to join the exclusive Dr. Richard Tucker Gold Study Club with fewer than four hundred members worldwide.

During the past several years, Dr. Nadler has completed advanced training at the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. In 2006, he became one of the few dentists worldwide to have completed the training required to become an “LVI Graduate.” Here he has learned how to provide comfort for his patients through neuromuscular dentistry combined with the most beautiful cosmetic restorations available today.

Dr. Nadler's focus on health extends to his spare time when he enjoys bicycling, weight training, golfing, and skiing.

April Cruser - New Patient Coordinator

April Cruser, our New Patient Coordinator, joined our team in 2005. As a new patient, you will be greeted by April who will familiarize you with our facility, assist Dr. Nadler in completing your comprehensive examination, and answer any questions that you may have about our office and dental care. Since she is a patient of Dr. Nadler's, she can share invaluable insight about our office and exactly what a difference a great smile can make in a person's life. Our guests are always impressed by April's helpfulness and ability to provide a positive experience.

April says "I enjoy coming to work because we help patients make their smile healthy and beautiful daily!" In her spare time, she enjoys sharing time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth Nadler - Dental Concierge

Elizabeth Nadler, our dental concierge, has been a member of the team since 1985. Liz is adept at handling all of our patients’ needs and special requests including scheduling, insurance and financial issues. She is well-versed in all facets of our dental practice, and is eager to discuss all of your questions and concerns. For those choosing to whiten their teeth, Liz is our Britesmile™ technologist and helps patients achieve a six to ten shade improvement in about one and one-half hours. Liz is proud to show-off her smile, as she has been a patient of Dr. Nadler’s for over twenty years.

Liz is a graduate of the Passaic County Vocational and Technical High School where she studied dental assisting. She was recognized for her achievements in 1991 by being inducted into her Alma Mater’s Hall of Fame. And in 1993, she became an Honorary Life Member of her school’s chapter of HOSA. She is a Nationally Certified Dental Assistant and is registered in New Jersey as a Dental Assistant with Expanded Function and Dental Radiography capabilities. Liz has had advanced training in all aspects of Dental Health management, including various courses involving cosmetic and bite-related patient care at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

When Liz is out of the office, she can be found on the golf course or tennis courts.

Maria Slavinsky - Registered Dental Hygienist

Maria Slavinsky, our Registered Dental Hygienist, has been a team member since 2002. Her most important task is helping our patients achieve and maintain excellent periodontal health for life. Since roughly eighty-five percent of Americans have some form of gum disease, Maria’s position is a very important one; and, she is highly qualified to accomplish her mission. She received her Dental Hygiene Degree in 1999. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree in Allied Health Services from Montclair State University in 2003. Maria is the recipient of the Proctor and Gamble Award for Outstanding Achievement in Behavioral Aspects of Patient Care.

Our patients are often surprised at how comfortable and pleasant their hygiene visits are. Maria prides herself on her professionalism and her concern for patients’ comfort and well-being. She loves to discuss all your questions and concerns about gum disease, tooth sensitivity, gum recession, nutrition, and home care techniques and products. When necessary, Maria utilizes a breakthrough agent called Arestin™ to control areas of periodontal concern without surgery.

In her spare time, Maria and her husband enjoy skiing, biking, and rollerblading.

Debbie Michel - Scheduling Coordinator

Debbie Michel, our scheduling coordinator, answers the phone --always with a smile -- and handles your appointment requests. She is diligent about finding an appointment which will be convenient for you. She is also responsible for reminding you about periodic examination and cleaning appointments. Debbie will often be the first person that you see when you enter our office and she has a wonderful knack for making people feel comfortable.

Debbie is married and has three children. She is a Girl Scout Leader and is very involved as a volunteer in her children's schools. She enjoys bicycling, tennis, gardening and reading a good book (especially at the beach).
