Neuromuscular Dentistry (TMJ Treatment)

Dr. Nadler has studied neuromuscular dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) and the internationally-known Pankey Institute, and he can offer TMJ and migraine headache treatment.
Neuromuscular dentistry is based on the understanding that the TMJ must rest in the ideal position for the joints, muscles, bones, and teeth to function properly. Believe it or not, TMJ disorder can occur if you bite is off by less than a millimeter. To obtain your optimal position and facilitate migraine headache treatment, Dr. Nadler must relax the muscles and stabilize the bite.
In neuromuscular dentistry, we utilize new technology and techniques, including the TENS and K-7, to establish a physiologic jaw position and correct your bite, which will potentially alleviate your discomfort and provide migraine headache treatment. Non-surgical TMJ treatment may also include strengthening exercises, hot and cold compresses, and an oral appliance to prevent grinding and excessive wear. After TMJ treatment, patients can once again enjoy healthy, comfortable smiles.
